Nice enough, easy to set up, but two gripes which left me feeling deflated: 1. the LCD screen isn't exactly going to impress anyone who's used to working on laptops or owners of flat panel televisions - the image quality is a tad poor - I would have hoped for a higher resolution screen for this price 2. the stand on the back of the unit doesn't allow for the unit to be propped up more vertically, meaning that if you have the frame in a chest height shelf or chest of drawers, the frame tilts back to a point where the image is difficult to view with any clarity. you can experiment with what I'm trying to explain by tilting your laptop backwards, and watch the clarity and quality of the screen lower.

The Kodak EasyShare C713 digital camera takes 7.0-megapixel images, and more megapixels give you more freedom to crop, edit, and enlarge the favorite parts of your photos. This camera takes photo-quality, 300dpi images up to 6 x 9 inches, and quality 200dpi images up to 10 x 15 inches. 3x optical zoom magnifies subjects without sacrificing resolution and lets you get close to the action. Additionally, 5x digital zoom picks up where optical zoom leaves off, stretching pixels to make the image look bigger.

As with all gift purchases I had to take this baby for a test drive before I wrapped it up. Amazingly, the photos are crystal clear. Resolution is perfect. The built in stabilizer helped compensate for the windy day. One photo from the series of shots that I had taken was enlarged to 16" x 20" format. All I can say is, pixel perfect. One sweet feature that surprised me was the digital zoom. It enhanced each and every photo without sacrificing pixels. As a professional photographer I remain impressed with the Kodak C713 Camera. I would highly recommend this camera to everyone that wants great quality photos without spending the extra bucks on a big ticket digital SLR camera and lens system.

I needed a spare camera to keep in my car and this fits the bill. It was very affordable, it's easy to use (which is especially important for a camera that I might not use often), and the picture quality is decent. It's also nice that it uses plain AA batteries, so I don't have to worry about keeping a charger around. Anyone looking for a simple and cheap digital camera would do fine with this one. Tip: If you just want to get the pictures from your camera into your computer, you don't need to install the software included with the camera - most computers already have this capability built-in. Just connect the camera to your computer with the included cable and it'll probably work fine.

Now, if I can just remember not to put my eye upon to the screen looking for the viewfinder...
