Kodak EasyShare C613 6.2MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

From Kodak

The EasyShare C613 features a 6.2-megapixel CCD for stunning prints up to 20 by-30 inches, and more megapixels means you can crop and still get a great picture, while Kodak Color Science helps to capture bright, beautiful color. A Kodak AF 3x optical aspheric zoom lens (35 mm equivalent of 36–108 mm) captures crisp details and gets you closer to your subjects without losing picture quality, and 5x digital zoom enlarges your pictures even more. Plus, we made sure it had the one feature you’ve come to expect -- simplicity. Because if your camera is simple to use, you’ll love to take pictures.

I purchased this camera to replace my kodak c643 that was dropped. I cried for days over that one plus it was just over a year old!! Anyway, I wanted a camera that was compatible with the kodak printer that I have (good pics. when I can get it to work). This camera is not as good as the c643, but it's also less expensive. It does what it says it's supposed to. The software for it is easy to use and set up. The real cons are: it eats batteries(but what digital camera doesn't?) You need to buy an extra memory card for it(also normal for this type of camera) And the big one for me is....that when you take video you can not hear the audio on the camera. You have to wait until you put it on the computer to hear it. Unless I missed that part in the booklet. Anyway, it's easy to use and a good camera if you aren't looking for pro shots or just want a 'no brainer' camera. I use it to take pics of my kids so I can remember how goofy and hammy they are before they become uptight teens!!

Kodak EasyShare M753 7MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Black)

From Kodak

The M753 is loaded with great features you'd find in much more expensive cameras. Plus, with its pocketable design, and all the stylish colors and matching accessories to choose from, you can't afford to miss out.

Nice value for an attractive camera. Should have come with wall charge cord though. Had to buy that separately or always charge via computer (USB). Overall, very satisfied with this purchase.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS 8.2MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

From Kodak

The Z812-IS is part of the Kodak EasyShare System, so to share your pictures, just press Share. The elegant design of the Z812-IS provides a more enjoyable viewing experience of your picture, on a 2.5" color display. Turn your pictures into 46" (1015cm) announcements, invitations, holiday cards, and more with English, French, and German photo card templates. A high speed digital processor chip, advanced algorithms, and hardware acceleration features let the Z812 IS make simultaneous, split-second decisions to produce rich, vibrant, true-to-life colors in almost any lighting situation. Every time you click the shutter, the Kodak Color Science Chip performs an instantaneous and advanced analysis of collected scene data to identify and adjust multiple factors that influence picture quality. Scene light source is detected and adjustments are made to capture bright whites and true, vivid colors.

I've own this camera for less than a week and I've already went through 4 or five sets of batteries. The cheap one Kodak sent lasted the longest. I use rechargable batteries that the Z710 that I really liked used. I could get nearly 200 pics out of one charge on my 710, this camera is lucky to get fifty. I don't know if I should try lithium batteries or take it back and stick with the 710. The light meter doesn't work as well as my 710 does in manual mode either. I read nothing but what seemed like bad reviews about the 710 but in my opion my 710 runs circles around this 812. The extra zoom is nice and the HD is cool but I like to take pictures of wildlife and in cold weather your lucky to get ten pics on a set of batteries. I wish I would have saved my money and just bought a SLR. This camera was over half of what I would have spent on one anyway.
